Kinesitherapy

KINESITHERAPY (from the Greek words kinein - to move, kinesis - movement) is a field of physical therapy that involves the application of movement for therapeutic purposes, aiming to establish optimal functioning of body parts and the organism as a whole. Kinesitherapy includes both active and passive exercises.

Forms of kinesitherapy performed at our facility include:

- Protective positions and movements

- Breathing exercises

- Relaxation exercises

- Kinesitherapy after bone fractures, sports and other injuries (treatment of contractures)

- Kinesitherapy for cervical syndrome

- Kinesitherapy for lumbar syndrome

- Exercises for scoliosis and kyphosis

- Exercises for the correction of flat feet

The therapeutic effects of kinesitherapy are:

- Increasing muscle strength and elasticity

- Increasing the range of mobility in joints

- Improving the function of the cardiovascular system, respiratory organs, nervous system, and digestive organs

- Enhancing circulation and speeding up local metabolism and the overall recovery process of the body

- Creating correct movement patterns and motor activities

 

Active exercises are divided into:

  • active unassisted exercises
  • active resistance exercises
